Description:  Part of a tête-bêche series, this painting reflects the artist’s deep personal connection to Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy. Born in Queen Elizabeth Hospital and educated at Queen Elizabeth School, the artist finds the Queen an enduring symbol of his formative years. Rendered in the style of a vintage Hong Kong $1 postage stamp, it intertwines memory with collective history, evoking the passage of time and the complicated nature of recollection. Memories, while fragmented or inverted in perspectives over time, are essential parts of a larger, interconnected narrative.
