In 2022, I graduated from the Fine Arts Department at Hong Kong Baptist University, driven by a desire to explore how art and design can seamlessly integrate into everyday life. To deepen this exploration, I pursued a Master’s in Design and Branding at Loughborough University in London, where I will graduate with first-class honors in 2024.
My primary medium is abstract oil painting, and I am particularly captivated by the unique urban landscapes I encounter. During my time in Hong Kong, I was fascinated by the distinctive views I saw while riding buses through the city, which inspired many of my early works. As a result, much of my art reflects the essence of Hong Kong’s vibrant streets. My works has been exhibited in Hong Kong in 2022-2023. Since moving to London, I find myself once again absorbed by the city’s scenery, but this time from the perspective of an outsider. My current work focuses on the landscapes of London, filtered through the lens of my connection to Hong Kong. This blending of two cities has sparked a new phase in my artistic journey, where I explore the feeling of being between worlds—rooted in one city while navigating another. In earlier works, I gravitated toward impressionist landscapes, which continue to inform my evolving approach to abstraction.
