Wingyi Ng

Born and based in Hong Kong, I pursued my passion for art through formal education, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 2018. This formative experience honed my technical skills and shaped my creative perspective, laying the foundation for my artistic practice today.

I am deeply inspired by the beauty and complexity of the world around us, and my work reflects a commitment to capturing the essence of life through a realistic style. Working across a variety of mediums, I focus on life beings—animals and humans—drawn to their inherent soulfulness. My art seeks to reveal the unique personality and spirit of each subject, infusing my pieces with a profound sense of life and energy. To me, every living being possesses something special and worthy of celebration, and I strive to honor that through my work.

My art goes beyond creating visually compelling images; it is about exploring the connections between ourselves and the world, and celebrating the intrinsic beauty and value of all living beings. I aim to inspire viewers to see the world with renewed appreciation, to notice the soulful presence of the life beings around us, and to reflect on their own connection to these subjects.

Through my work, I hope to create a dialogue between the viewer and the subject, one that sparks curiosity, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the world we share. My practice is both a celebration of life and a call for mindfulness—an invitation to look closer, feel deeper, and connect more fully.
