Yumi Hung is an artist based in Hong Kong. She founded her brand “KUROME-Black eye kids” in 2018.
She mainly uses acrylic paints on canvas, her works primarily feature girls in monster hat. Inspired by her personal experiences and the legend of ‘Black eyed kid’ . Yumi uses the image of the ‘Black eyed kid ‘ to express her inner emotions.

She portrays the feelings of depression through the depiction of little girls wearing giant toothed monster hats, symbolizing the sorrow and helplessness of being trapped in a difficult situation.
