Elaine Hui creates vibrant, playful paintings that serve as immediate portals to joy. A Hong Kong native with a background in fine art and interior design, her work is a deliberate pursuit of happiness, transforming canvases into luminous sanctuaries of color and light.

Drawing on her design sensibilities, she composes scenes that are visually harmonious and emotionally uplifting. Working primarily in oils, with occasional use of acrylics, she builds dreamlike, scenic worlds where joyful memories and playful impressions take center stage. This is beautifully exemplified in her series “Moment in my Dream,” a vibrant dreamscape inspired by the pure joy of childhood. It captures the fleeting happiness of chasing colorful bubbles in a sun-dappled park—a symbol of carefree play. An avid dog lover, Elaine also frequently weaves playful canine moments into her work, celebrating the unbridled joy and companionship they bring. Her paintings have found homes in private collections and have been exhibited in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Elaine is a longtime superfan and collector at the Affordable Art Fair, where she has supported numerous emerging artists.
