Henry Zheng

Born in Hong Kong in 2006, ZCH Henry has been expressing his inner world through oil painting and pastels since childhood. For him, art is not merely a means of creation, but a language capable of conveying emotions, memories, and unspoken thoughts. His inspiration often arises from curiosity about the surrounding world—whether it be a place he once visited, or a memory that lingers in his heart.

ZCH Henry’s artistic style is primarily abstract, infused with influences of symbolism and expressionism. Through layers of color and texture, he goes beyond depicting what the eye sees, transforming the depths of his feelings into visible forms. He seeks to capture fleeting emotions, hidden states of mind, and the invisible yet tangible connections between people and space.

On his artistic journey, ZCH Henry has been deeply inspired by his mentor Cyrus, as well as by the works of Edvard Munch, the Nordic expressionist master, and Zao Wou-Ki, the Chinese-French abstract painter. For ZCH Henry, creation is not about providing definitive answers, but rather about inviting viewers to pause and reflect—searching for their own resonance within colors and brushstrokes. To him, art is both an inner exploration of the soul and an outstretched hand toward the outside world—an intimate dialogue between the artist, the canvas, and the observer.
